This Privacy Policy describes how Packt: Goal Tracking ("Packt," "we," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By using Packt, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Email address and password when you create an account
- Display name shown on your profile
- Content you create in the app: hunts (habits), traps, howls (rewards), categories, packs, and invites
Information collected automatically
- Completion history and earned-bones balance resulting from your use of the app
- Basic device information (operating system, app version) when you sign in
What we do NOT collect
- We do not access your contacts, photos, location, or microphone
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
- We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Deliver core app features (habit tracking, bones, packs, history)
- Send account-related emails such as password resets
- Process in-app purchases through Apple and RevenueCat
- Respond to support requests
3. How We Store Information
Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers (Realtime Database, Firebase Authentication). Access is restricted to authenticated users — you can only access your own data, plus shared content within packs you are a member of.
Passwords are hashed by Firebase Authentication; we do not have access to your plaintext password at any time.
4. Third Parties
We share limited information with:
- Firebase (Google) — hosts authentication, database, and sends password-reset emails.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription entitlements. RevenueCat receives your account identifier and subscription-related events.
- Apple — processes in-app purchases. Apple's privacy policy applies to payment data and is outside our control.
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
5. Your Rights
You can:
- Access and edit your account information in the app
- Delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete account). This permanently removes your data from our servers.
- Email us with any privacy questions or requests using the address below
6. Children
Packt is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems. Backups are retained for a limited period for disaster recovery before being overwritten.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect.
